What is this drug?

SILDENAFIL; DAPOXETINE is proven to help treat impotency and premature ejaculation. Antidepressants of the SSRI (selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors) class including fluoxetine have been used off-label to delay orgasms for quite some time now. The product is brand new and only became available in the early 2010.

How should this medicine be used?

What are the possible interactions with this medicine?

This medicine should never be taken with any of the below drugs:

• cisapride
• methscopolamine nitrate
• nitrates like amyl nitrite, isosorbide dinitrate, isosorbide mononitrate, nitroglycerin
• nitroprusside
• other sildenafil products (Revatio) This drug could also potentially interact with the below medicines:
• certain drugs used for the treatment of high blood pressure
• certain drugs, which are used to treat HIV infection or AIDS
• certain medicines used for the treatment of fungal or yeast infections, including but not limited to: fluconazole, itraconazole, ketoconazole, and voriconazole
• cimetidine
• erythromycin
• rifampin

Presently, there are no documented negative inter-drug reactions associated with dapoxetine. A number of pharmacokinetic studies were conducted to determine whether dapoxetine could trigger any drug interactions with tadalafil and sildenafil; as well as with ethanol. All studies showed no visible interactions when the combination was administered to a single patient. Hence due to the lack of any scientifically proved information, it is too early to assume any other potential drug interactions.

Alcohol intake can boost drowsiness and dizziness symptoms. You should therefore avoid alcoholic drinks while taking this medicine.

You may also experience dry mouth symptoms. Chewing sugarless gum or sucking hard candy, and drinking plenty of water may help remedy such symptoms. You should get in touch with your doctor, should the problem not go away or become severe.

The usage of this medicine would not protect you or your partner against HIV infection (the virus causing AIDS) or other sexually transmitted diseases.

What side effects may I notice from this medicine?

The below side effects should be reported to your doctor or health care professional immediately:

• allergic reactions including rash skin, itching or hives, face, lips, or tongue swelling
• difficulty breathing
• altered hearing
• changes in vision, blurred vision, trouble telling blue color from green
• chest pains
• fast or irregular heartbeat
• prolonged or painful erections (lasting for over 4 hours)
• seizures

Where this medicine should be kept?

This medicine should be kept out of children's reach. This medicine should be stored at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F), well away from heat and direct light. Under no circumstances should it be frozen. Any unused medicine should be thrown away after the expiry date is reached.
